The Gourmet Farm Girl is proud to serve her “Buckeye Chili” to the participants of The Chilly Chili Mile, a one-mile-long walk hosted by the Philip Heit Center for Healthy New Albany on Feb. 12.

Upon completion of this inaugural walk, participants will warm up at the Heit Center and receive an 8-ounce serving of the delicious “Buckeye Chili” along with all the garnishes — cheese, sour cream and green onions — a news release states.

The famous “Buckeye Chili” will be on-site, for sale with $1 from each jar sold donated to the Heit Center. Additionally, coupons will be distributed and valid for redemption at the New Albany Kroger Store, or at any of the 75-plua Kroger stores which retail The Gourmet Farm Girl chilies.

Deborah Mahon, founder of The Gourmet Farm Girl, is the definition of an authentic farm girl. As an eight-year resident of Delaware Ohio, she was born and raised on a dairy and grain farm which her family settled during the 1830’s. The farm, located in Bucyrus, has been in her family for seven generations.

The Gourmet Farm Girl launched in 2010.
