Delaware woman injured in crash

A Delaware woman was injured Wednesday night in a crash at the intersection of Sandusky and Winter streets.

Delaware police report that at approximately 7:51 p.m. a 17-year-old Delaware girl was traveling Southbound on South Sandusky Street and attempted to turn left onto East Winter Street when she struck a motorcycle driven by Tracie A. Nelson, 50, of Delaware, who was traveling North on North Sandusky Street.

Police report that Nelson sustained incapacitating injuries and was transported to Grant Medical Facility for treatment. Police reported she was in stable condition Thursday.

The 17-year-old was not injured in the crash, police report.

A 45-year-old woman was also a passenger on the motorcycle when the crash occurred and was reportedly not injured.

Police said Thursday the crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed.
