The Delaware City Schools Board of Education approved a number of staffing changes and a 2019 student trip at its meeting Tuesday night.
During the session, the board approved three resignations: Sarah Isbell, a technology specialist at Schultz Elementary; Rhonda Quinn, a cook/cashier at Carlisle Elementary; and Heather Lowry, a sixth-grade camp coordinator at Dempsey Middle School.
The board then approved the following employment recommendations:
• Tiffany Ackerman, a School Aged Child Care (SACC) program assistant at Carlisle;
• Amanda Clements, a bus driver;
• Tiffany DeBarr, a bus driver;
• Kristin Larson, a SACC program assistant at Schultz;
• Nikki Saunders, a technology specialist at Woodward and Schultz;
• Elizabeth Tate, a bus driver;
• Kalene Thomson, a SACC program assistant at Woodward and Joellen Wolfson, a SACC program assistant at Dempsey.
The board also approved several supplemental contracts for the swimming head coach, soccer reserve girls coach, boys golf coach, and the African-American Student Coalition advisor at Delaware Hayes High School.
Additionally, the board approved a Delaware Hayes High School Science overnight field trip to Quito, Ecuador-Galapagos Islands from July 8, 2019 to July 28, 2019.
The board will meet next on Sept. 25 at 6 p.m. for a work session at Willis Education Center.
