This letter is in response to the story about the Board of Elections workshop (The Gazette, May 4) to assist candidates in being successful in getting on the ballot. What a ridiculous waste of taxpayers money.
This ranks right up there with the City of Delaware’s plan to use a half of million tax dollars on a project that won’t even fix the problem with the West Central Avenue railroad overpass.
If the BOE would have spent one iota of the amount of time that they spent on this issue, on making sure that the ballot language for the DACC levy was correct, then construction on the new Career Center would not have come to a halt as a result of the BOE “forgetting” to add certain counties to the levy ballot for the DACC.
