DCS dominant in win over Tree of Life

The Delaware Christian volleyball team put together three solid sets, dropping visiting Tree of Life Tuesday in Delaware.

The Eagles won the first set 25-13 before sealing the deal with back-to-back wins of 25-12.

DCS standouts included Abbey Evans, who finished with a team-best 17 digs to go with three blocks and five kills; Lyssi Snouffer, who chipped in 10 kills, seven digs and six aces; Mary Kerins, who finished with 10 digs; Brianna Blackburn, who closed with 17 assists and six digs; Sarah Rosato, who had four kills and three aces; Anna Fuller, who contributed four kills and five digs; and Rachel Sullivan, who finished with two kills and four digs.

Hilliard Darby 3, Olentangy 1

The Braves held their own, but the 18th-ranked Panthers were too much in the fourth and deciding set en route to a non-league win Tuesday in Lewis Center.

Darby won the first two sets by respective scores of 26-24 and 25-18. Olentangy won the third 26-24, but the Panthers took the fourth 25-12 to wrap things up.

Olivia Margolies led the Braves with 14 kills while Nhu Do and Megan Cochran added seven apiece. Lexie Weithman added 14 digs and Gabby Trees dished out 24 assists.

GIRLS TENNIS

Delaware Hayes got it done on the singles courts Tuesday, grabbing wins on all three to notch a 3-2 non-league win over River Valley.

Pacer winners included Grace Brinkmoeller (6-4, 6-4 at first singles), Paris Knipp (6-0, 6-0 at second singles) and Renae Haferman (6-0, 6-3 at third singles).
