Three appointed to developmental disabilities board

The Delaware County Board of Commissioners today re-appointed one member of the Delaware County Board of Developmental Disabilities and appointed two new members.

Re-appointed was Delaware resident Jeffrey Wallace, who has been a member of the board since 2006. Wallace works as a physical therapist assistant and has been the acting board vice-president.

New to the board are Sunbury resident Howard Heffelfinger and Genoa Township resident Tracie Davies Toot. Heffelfinger is a retired human-resources management executive who worked extensively with county and municipal governments during his career. He also serves as a current member of the Northstar New Community Authority.

Toot is the Director of Public Utilities for the city of Columbus, as well as a member of the Mid Ohio Regional Planning Commission’s executive committee and the Solid Waste Authority Central Ohio Board.

All three will begin their four-year terms on Jan. 1, 2017.
