A Place of Warmth open tonight

The Zion United Church of Christ, 51 W. Central Ave., will accept single homless men from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. tonight. Homeless can stay in the shelter until 8 a.m. Known as Place of Warmth, volunteers are also able to connect homeless women with a place to stay.

County road projects upcoming

The following work is planned in the Delaware County area on the specified dates and times. All work is weather dependent; it may be postponed or canceled without prior notice.

State Route 315 will be reduced to one lane at SR 750 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday for slope work. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers and law enforcement officers.

US 23 north will be reduced to one lane between US 42 and US 36 (East William Street) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27-Thursday, Dec. 29 for road work.
