Delaware police report:

A home on West William Street was burglarized Tuesday night. The 54-year-old homeowner returned home to find someone had come into the house and stolen several electronic devices, jewelry, computers and a shotgun. Officers found a broken window and identified it as the point of entry.

A husband threatened to burn his Greenlawn Drive house down Tuesday night. A 32-year-old woman called police to report a female family member had called her and told her that her husband was threatening to burn down the house after an argument. Police said the man appeared to be intoxicated and officers found his wife had sustained minor injuries. The wife told police her husband had assaulted her during an argument over marital problems. The husband was taken into custody and charged with domestic violence, assault and disorderly conduct.

A car with expired registration plates was spotted traveling north on Fern Drive Tuesday night. Police stopped the car and, while the officer was speaking to the driver, he smelled marijuana. A search of the vehicle was conducted and it was discovered that an adult male passenger was in possession of a cigar with marijuana in it. The passenger was issued a citation for marijuana possession and ordered to appear in Delaware Municipal Court.
