Local martial arts instructor inducted in hall of fame

Delaware resident Julie Loeffler has been inducted into the 2015 United States Martial Arts Hall of Fame.

Loeffler was voted into the Hall of Fame as a female Jeet Kune Do instructor. Her nomination was approved by the Grandmasters Council, a gathering of some of the most distinguished martial arts professionals in the world.

The Grandmasters Council and the Hall of Fame induction ceremony were the crowning events of the yearly U.S. Martial Arts Hall of Fame training camp in Branson, Missouri. The camp invites martial arts practitioners of all disciplines to train together and learn from one another.

Loeffler is the owner and operator of Mid-Ohio IMB, an affiliate school of the International Martial Arts & Boxing Academy. The academy was founded by Richard “The Iron Dragon” Bustillo, an original student of the legendary Bruce Lee. The academy teaches traditional martial arts with practical applications.
