Making way for the future

Before the rains fell Tuesday afternoon, crews from 2K General were digging up the parking lot at Carlisle Elementary School so they can lay the foundation for the school’s expansion. The school will be getting more classrooms to accommodate fifth-graders as well as other improvements, like a gym, more parking and a revised bus loop. Construction began in June and is expected to end by the start of the 2017-18 school year, when the district will return to the standard K-5 configuration at elementary schools.
