Workers from 2K General Contracting load dirt onto a truck while working on the foundation for the building expansion at Conger Elementary School Monday morning. The expansion will add new classrooms; reconfigure the school offices to increase security; create additional parking spaces; and improve routes for student pick-up and drop-off. Construction began in June and the school district hopes to have completed construction by the 2016-17 school year, when the school will return to a traditional K-5 model at Conger.
