Angel’s Hi-Steppers win national titles

Angel’s Hi-Steppers baton and dance teams from Delaware recently excelled at the National Baton Twirling Association’s “America’s Youth on Parade” national baton twirling championships.

The championships were held July 20-25 in South Bend, Indiana, at the University of Notre Dame.

Angel Dunlap’s team won the Preteen Twirling Team 2015 national/international title. The twirlers on the team are Taylor McMillin, Lexi Kinney, Brooklynne Montgomery, Lydia Pope and Maddie Blair. These girls also won the 2015 regional title and the 2015 Ohio state championship title in the dance twirl and twirl team categories.

Michelle Bowser, 5, is the new 2015 tiny tot intermediate champion in the 2 baton and flag twirling divisions. She also is the first runner-up in the Intermediate Miss Majorette of America pageant.

All of Angel Dunlap’s students placed in the top 10 in their individual and team divisions.

All eight of Angel’s Hi-Steppers dance twirl and twirl team members are the 2015 Great Lakes regional and the 2015 Ohio state champions.

Team members include: Taylor McMillin, Sydney McMillin, Lauren McMillin, Lexi Kinney, Maddie Blair, Lydia Pope, Brooklynne Montgomery, Jenna Justice, Mackenzie Ward, Laura Timm, Katalina Pernesstti, Michelle Bowser and Leah Bledsoe.
