MKC Associates consolidating offices

MKC Associates, a Powell-based architecture firm, has announced it will consolidate the firm’s operations to one centralized location in its existing Powell office.

The move is being made in an effort to better serve clients across Ohio and adjoining states, company officials said.

While the firm remains committed to the Richland and Tuscarawas county communities, careful evaluation of existing operations and staffing revealed a need to consolidate, the company said in a prepared statement.

Modern technology currently utilized in the practice of architecture has enhanced the firm’s ability to consolidate core operations in a single location while continuing to maintain personal representation in various locations across the state. “Consolidating our core operations under one roof will enable us to increase our quality and improve our client experience,” said MKC President Jim Schmidt. “This move will combine our strengths from each location and create an even stronger firm, one poised for success for another 90 years.”

The firm has recently signed contracts to begin design work on several notable commissions, including a new 88,000 square-foot VA Outpatient Medical Center, new student housing at Central Penn University and a new student recreation and housing center for Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.

Founded in 1924, MKC is a full service architecture firm that specializes in educational, civic and healthcare clients throughout Ohio. It’s located at 90 Hidden Ravines Drive in Powell. Its other Ohio offices were in Mansfield and New Philadelphia.
