Delaware police report:

A boyfriend and girlfriend fought at an address on West Central Avenue Sunday morning just after midnight. Police report both parties had sustained minor injuries and admitted they got into a physical fight after an argument. Police report they could not determine an aggressor and neither party wanted to press charges. Police mediated the situation and one party stayed somewhere else for the night. No charges were filed.

A wife requested police because her husband was acting strange at their Deerfield Place residence Sunday before 6 a.m. She told police her husband was hallucinating and believed people were there to fight him. Police spoke to the man and said he made several illogical statements. Officers determined he was experiencing a mental health crisis and he was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Columbus police contacted Delaware officers Sunday to inquire about a stolen car. Columbus police told officers they had recovered a car that had been reported stolen from an address on Hickory Lane. The car was found by Columbus police in a Waffle House parking lot in Columbus. When Columbus officers noticed the vehicle, they saw two men run away from it. The men were later caught and incarcerated for a separate crime. The case was forwarded to prosecutors for review and possible charges.

A 29-year-old woman was arrested after damaging property at a home on North Washington Street Sunday night. Police conducted an investigation and charged the woman with criminal damaging and disorderly conduct.

Tools and other items were stolen from an open garage on Hawthorn Boulevard overnight Saturday.

A man found drug paraphernalia while cleaning his house on Rheem Street Sunday night. He told police an acquaintance had been staying with him for a few days but, when he was cleaning up after the guest, he discovered the drug paraphernalia. Police are investigating.

A handgun was found in the grass Friday morning outside a Silver Maple Drive apartment. Police secured the firearm and forwarded the investigation to prosecutors.
