Two Lewis Center residents were injured Thursday morning when they collided in an intersection in Delaware.

Delaware police reported that at 10:59 a.m. a Toyota sedan driven by Muhammad Abdullah Butt, 47, was traveling west on East William Street. Police say Butt went through the intersection of William and Henry Street and collided with a vehicle operated by Catherine Woodruff, 66, who had been traveling south on Henry in her Ford truck.

Butt sustained a head injury and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital by Delaware firefighters. Police said his injury was not life-threatening.

Woodruff sustained minor injuries but remained at the scene.

Police say both vehicles were disabled in the crash.

No citations have been issued but police say an investigation is ongoing. Police said they would be speaking to witnesses and working to determine what color the light was when the crash occurred and who had the right of way.
