A Galena woman was killed Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash in Berlin Township.

Dead is Jeanne Conger, 78, according to the Delaware post of Ohio State Highway Patrol.

At 11:28 a.m. Friday, a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 truck, driven by William James Baker, 28, of Columbus, rear-ended a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse, driven by Karen Conger, 55, of Galena, on Cheshire Road at Piatt Road, troopers said.

Robert Conger, 80, and Jeanne Conger, both of Galena, were passengers in the Traverse and were injured in the crash.

Both were transported to Riverside Methodist Hospital.

Jeanne Conger later died as a result of her injuries.

Baker was transported to St. Ann’s Hospital where he received treatment and was released.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation and charges are pending.

Troopers said they have not determined which individuals were wearing seatbelts or if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash.
