The Learning Spectrum has announced that Luke Bauman is the director of its location in Sunbury.

As the director of TLS North/Sunbury, Bauman is responsible for overseeing the school, the students’ individualized education programs and behavior plan implementation. He also ensures the overall safety and wellness of the students, and stays in frequent communications with families.

Before becoming the director in July, Bauman worked with small group learning students and behavior intervention at TLS Sunbury for eight months. He spent the previous 10 years as the behavior intervention specialist at Gahanna Jefferson Schools.

Bauman attended Liberty University where he double majored in history and theology. He is currently working on his master’s degree in education/school administration from Liberty University.

His goal is to increase enrollment at TLS Sunbury to the point of needing more space and more teachers, company officials said.

The Learning Spectrum provides individualized care to children with autism, both in and out of the school setting. With its small-group learning environment, TLS tailors its services to each individual student’s unique needs. The goal is to help students reach their full potential and live healthy, productive and independent lives, officials said.
