Distracted driving leads to roll-over

Delaware police say Rick Johnson, 55, of Lewis Center was traveling north on Cheshire Street Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m. in a 1996 Grand Cherokee when he looked down at his phone briefly and hit a parked car. Police said the Cherokee went up onto the car and flipped onto its side. During the crash, Johnson injured his hand. He was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released. Police said he was issued a citation to appear in Delaware Municipal Court for distracted driving. The other vehicle was not occupied.
