It didn’t result in a win, but the 185 posted by the Delaware Hayes girls golf team Thursday at Oakhaven earned it something a little more historic than a dual victory … it resulted in a school record.

Bailey Hager led the Pacers with a 40 while CC Barger finished with a 44, Riley Geiger carded a 50 and Sophia Zehner closed with a 51.

“Both Bailey and CC had excellent short games going, with 32 putts between them, and Sophia and Riley were more consistent tee to green,” Hayes coach Steve Lehman said.

Olentangy, led by Kara Raines’ medal-winning 35, won with a team total of 153.
