Duncan and Barbara Whitney will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary today.
They were married at the Sunbury United Methodist Church on Sept. 4, 1965.
Duncan is a retired judge of the Delaware County Common Pleas Court. Barbara is a graduate of the Ohio State University nursing school.
The couple has five sons: Eric (Elika) of Delaware, Chad (Dora) of Los Angeles, Vic (Amy) of Delaware, Zach (Madeline) of Milwaukee and Beau (Martha) of Perth, Australia.
They also have nine grandchildren: Maya, Duncan, Sela, Quinn, Sadie, Noah, Hank, Harvey and Frankie.
A family celebration was held near Charlottesville, Virginia, in early August.
