To the editor:

I visited Galena Cemetery today, as I do every week, and it brought tears to my eyes. It looks terrible!

I could barely walk to my husband’s grave because of the tall grass. And some good folk have mowed bits and pieces of it so it looks chopped up.

I cannot believe Berkshire Township would let this happen. I was there at the same time as a former Berkshire Township trustee and he was truly disgusted, as was I.

We purchased our plots in good faith that Berkshire Township would take care of them. I would suggest they do that very thing until the dispute is settled. Shame, shame on the Berkshire Township trustees.
