A Delaware man was in critical condition Friday afternoon after being injured in a crash on Case Road Thursday night.

Troopers from the Ohio State Highway Patrol report that at about 8:17 p.m. Nathan W. Cain, 24, of Ashley, was traveling east on Case Road between Panhandle Road and Horseshoe Road when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, drove his Jeep off the road and hit a tree.

Troopers said they believe alcohol is a factor in the crash.

Cain was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was then flown by helicopter to OSU Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries.

Troopers said he was in critical condition Friday afternoon. Staff at Wexner said they were unable to find records of his treatment in their computer system.

Troopers said the crash remains under investigation.
