If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.

That’s exactly what the Orange and Olentangy girls soccer teams did Tuesday night. After playing to a 1-1 tie last month in Lewis Center, the district rivals wrapped up a share of the OCC-Capital Division crown with solid wins in their respective league finales.

Olentangy, at home against Hayes, controlled the game throughout en route to a 3-0 win. Orange, meanwhile, trailed 2-0 at halftime before scoring three unanswered goals to notch a thrilling 3-2 win over visiting Worthington Kilbourne.

Taylor Foreman, Delaney Earl and Cassidy Ryan scored the Pioneer goals while Hannah Sargent stopped two shots in goal.

The other district school, Liberty, celebrated a league championship as well, finishing a perfect 7-0-0 in the Central Division with a 2-1 win over host Thomas Worthington.

VOLLEYBALL

Erin McCullough led the way with 14 digs, 10 kills and 10 aces. Mary Kerins was also solid, finishing with 13 digs and four aces, while Abbey Evans finished with nine kills and eight digs.
