Delaware police report:

A truck was set on fire Sunday just before 3 a.m. in the 200 block of Fairway Road. Police report a Dodge pickup truck was engulfed in flames. The truck’s owner said he felt the fire was started by someone. Detectives are investigating.

A boyfriend and girlfriend were fighting in the parking lot of Kroger on West Houk Road Sunday at about 3 a.m. Officers learned the two had been arguing about who should drive and noticed the girlfriend had visible signs of injury to her face. The boyfriend was arrested and charged with assault, domestic violence and disorderly conduct, before being taken to the Delaware County Jail.

A drunken man was trying to get into a car that wasn’t his at the Pizza Hut on South Sandusky Street Friday just before 1 a.m. Officers found the man to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. He was taken into custody for disorderly conduct while intoxicated and held at the city jail until he was sober.

A toddler was walking in the street in the area of East Central Avenue Saturday morning. Police found the toddler and he led officers to a nearby apartment where he was staying with his grandmother. Police learned the boy had let himself out while his grandmother was asleep. A report was filed and forwarded to Children’s Services and the Delaware Municipal prosecutor for follow-up.

A fight broke out at an address on Belle Avenue Saturday afternoon. Officers spoke to a woman who said a 66-year-old man had been at the house despite being ordered to stay away. The victim declined to press charges but officers documented the violation of the protection order and forwarded it to Delaware Municipal Court.
