The trial for a Lewis Center man accused of having sex with two minors has been rescheduled for Dec. 15.

Spencer Robert Wilson, 21, of 8747 Clarksdale Drive, Lewis Center, was originally scheduled to stand trial on Oct. 29 to face two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, fourth-degree felonies, but the trial was rescheduled to Dec. 15 to allow both parties to review additional evidence.

Wilson entered a not guilty plea to the charges at his arraignment in Delaware County Common Pleas Court on July 29 and was released on a personal recognizance bond by Judge David Gormley.

Deputies from the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office were contacted on June 12 by two juveniles.

Prosecutors said the girls, named on the indictment as Jane Doe 1 and Jane Doe 2, report that the incident occurred during the early morning hours of June 8 while the girls were having a sleepover. During the sleepover they left the home to meet up with Wilson after communicating with him via cellphone, prosecutors allege.

He was indicted on June 19 by a Delaware County Grand Jury.

The indictment says the girls are older than 13 but younger than 16. The indictment notes that Wilson allegedly knew how old the girls were when he had sex with them.
