Delaware school board to consider approving trips

The Delaware Board of Education will consider three student trips and several staffing changes Monday night.

The board meets at 5:30 p.m. at the district’s Technology Center. at 621 Pennsylvania Ave.

The board will consider approving three wrestling trips. The first trip is the Harrison Duals Wrestling Competition, which was Dec. 4-5; the Walsh Ironman Wrestling Tournament Dec. 11-12; and the GMVWA Wrestling Tournament from Dec. 27 to Dec. 29.

The board will also consider approving a number of staffing changes, including:

• Accepting the resignation of Hong Nguyen, a school-aged child care employee at Dempsey Middle School, and Lucas Ratliff, the district’s accountant.

• Approving the employments of Elizabeth Kelly, a reading camp program substitute, and Jill Wade, who will be the choreographer for the Dempsey musical.

The board will also consider approving a number of professional development days for district employees, including the principals of the elementary schools.
