Pacer wrestlers dominant in dual against Darby

The Delaware Hayes wrestling team was dominant in its first non-league dual of the season, cruising to a 64-12 win over host Darby Wednesday in Hilliard.

The Pacers picked up wins in all but two weight classes, seven via pinfall.

Pins belonged to James White IV (120), who forced the Panthers’ Jimmie Harmon to the mat in 2:57; Jalill Barnes (138), who pinned Joshua Jackson in 3:09; Jake Henley (145), who handled Jonathon Kane in 2:38 to balloon his team’s edge to a convincing 32-6 margin; Greg Brusco (152), who made it 38-6 by pinning Quentin Thatcher in 3:34; Jakota Carter (182), who pinned Nicholas Untch in 3:21; Carter Davidson (195), who powered past Samer Salem in 1:12; and Paul Lance (285), who smoothed out the scoring summary by pinning Mohamed Debyan in 2:56.

Other Hayes winners included Zach Williams (113), who blanked Darby’s Eric Lowery 17-0; Jason Dominguez (126), who slipped past Brecken Vankirk 4-3 in overtime; Max Wright (170), who beat Kyle Colvin 10-3; and Chris Martinez (220), who overwhelmed Jacob Cover on the way to a 19-3 win.
