Asbury United Methodist Church will feature organist Miles O’Flaherty as recitalist for its Jan. 7 Noontime Recital Series.

The recital will be from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m. and will include works of Bach and Widor.

O’Flaherty began his organ study at the Asbury Organ Academy under the direction of Sally Casto, academy founder and organist at the church.

He is currently a student of Joshua Brodbeck, minister of music at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Upper Arlington and organist-in-residence at the Methodist Theological School.

A senior at Delaware Hayes High School, O’Flaherty has attended several summer “Pipe Organ Encounters,” sponsored by the American Guild of Organists, and for the past three summers, he has attended the Summer High School Organ Institute at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. He also serves as accompanist for the Delaware Hayes High School symphonic choir.

Tables will be set and beverages provided for those who wish to enjoy lunch during the recital.

Asbury is handicap-accessible from its rear parking lot entrance.

The church is located at 55 W. Lincoln Ave.
