Delaware Hayes High School students get repurposed classrooms for science

Students in Jane Kovatch’s science class work in groups Friday afternoon in their new classroom at Delaware Hayes High School. Principal Ric Stranges said the students were in a lecture hall-style classroom before and it was not conducive to a science class. So, over winter break, workers from 2K General Contracting, school staff and some students helped move the labs into old and unused woodshop classrooms and refurbish the labs. Stranges said the lecture hall classrooms would be remodeled and used as general purpose classes.
