Sunbury Village Council member Dave Miller was selected to serve as council’s 2016 president pro tem during a Jan. 6 council reorganization meeting.
Council’s committee assignments remain temporarily unchanged. Council member Len Weatherby was absent, and one council seat, to be filled by appointment, has not been filled.
Mayor Tommy Hatfield said Sunbury residents interested in filling the council seat vacated by former council member Jennifer Ward, who did not seek re-election, should deliver a letter of interest to Village Administrator Alan Rothermel by the end of the business day today, Jan. 15.
Miller said committee assignments would be made during the Jan. 20 council meeting after a full council is seated.
