A truck crash stalled traffic for hours in eastern Delaware County Wednesday afternoon.
At 12:49 p.m. Wednesday, a dump truck carrying gravel drifted off the right side of the road on State Route 521, and then veered left, over-corrected and then overturned, spilling gravel across both lanes of traffic.
Troopers from the Delaware post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported Wednesday that the crash was still under investigation and they could not provide many details.
The Ohio Department of Transportation reported Wednesday afternoon that the road would be closed between Interstate 71 and North Galena Road for several hours while the truck and gravel were cleared off the road.
Troopers were unsure of the driver’s condition Wednesday but said they did not believe he sustained serious injuries.
No charges have been filed and an investigation is ongoing.
