The Olentangy Liberty wrestling team knocked visiting Dublin Coffman from the ranks of the unbeaten Thursday, clipping the Shamrocks 34-33 on Senior Night.

Liberty looked to be in cruise control when Connor Brady (132) beat Coffman’s Lugman Mohamud by tech fall, 18-3. The win gave the Patriots a 34-18 lead … a lead they maintained, but by the slimmest of margins.

Coffman won the final three matches of the night to smooth out the scoring summary.

Other Patriots standouts included Kyle Lawson (160), who pinned Scott Allen in 1:55; Trevor Lawson (170), who edged Nate Longo 1-0; Cole Fitzpatrick (182), who forced Juan Alvarez to the mat in 4:14; Jake Kendzerski (195), who slipped past Jimmy Craig 3-1; Brakan Mead (113), who beat Jakaria Hossan by injury default; and Jordan Rosselli (120), who cruised past Joey Lowers 22-6.

Hayes 62, Orange 6

The Pacers continued their OCC-Capital Division dominance, powering past the host Pioneers 62-6 Thursday night at Orange Middle School.

Hayes, which picked up points in all but two weight classes, was led by Zach Williams (106), Greg Brusco (160), Max Wright (170), Jakota Carter (195) and Paul Lance (285) — all winners via pinfall.

Other Pacers point producers included Jalill Barnes (132), who beat Conner Evans 15-6; Garrett Young (145), who handled Gary Byas 8-1; Carter Davidson (182), who beat Hunter Knipp 12-5; and Chris Martinez (220), who beat Bryce Houston 10-1.

The Pioneers were led by Robert Agyekum (113), who beat Jason Dominguez 6-5; and Mike Manago (126), who knocked off Jacob McCloskey 9-4.
