Genoa neighborhood coalition to hold annual spring meeting

The Genoa Township Neighborhood Coalition will hold its annual spring meeting from 9 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 5, at the Genoa Township Hall.

The coalition is an organization of local citizens and community leaders who collaborate and solve key community issues.

Headed by president Dorothy Driskell, members include representatives from homeowners’ associations, condominium associations and other civic associations within the township. However the general public is welcome and encouraged to attend the spring meeting as well.

The session begins with a 9 a.m. welcome and housekeeping session, followed by a discussion of county road projects from 9:15 to 9:30, and an introduction of newly seated township Trustee Frank Dantonio from 9:30 to 9:45.

Township updates, scheduled from 9:45 a.m. through 11 a.m., include police, fire/EMS, maintenance, buildings, and grounds, parks and conservation, and development and zoning.

From 11 until 11:30 will be a discussion of the township’s bicentennial celebration plans, followed by questions and an open discussion.

Members of the coalition board of directors are Driskell, George Schultz and Janet Withers.

The township hall is at 5111 S. Old 3C Highway, Westerville.
