“Going to college while attending high school” will be the topic for a panel discussion sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Delaware County.
The discussion will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, at the Delaware Area Career Center’s South Campus at 4565 Columbus Pike.
This program, open to the public, will feature a discussion on the governor’s program “College Credit Plus,” a dual enrollment program. Other programs, such as advanced placement, international baccalaureate and other on-campus college coursework open to high school students, will be discussed.
Panelists will include Kristine Michael, director of academic achievement at the Buckeye Valley Local School District; Angie Pollock, superintendent of the Big Walnut Local School District; Mary Beth Freeman, superintendent of the Delaware Area Career Center; Paul Craft, superintendent of Delaware City Schools; and Mark Raiff, Superintendent of Olentangy Local Schools.
The moderator will be Michael Collins, state board of education member.
A 20-minute question-and-answer session will follow the discussion.
