Volunteers sought for Berkshire Landing New Community Authority board

Delaware County commissioners are seeking volunteers to serve on the Berkshire Landing New Community Authority board.

Commissioners will be appointing one county resident to serve on the panel. This member will serve a two-year term ending Feb. 4, 2018.

The board of the authority is the governing body of the authority and is responsible for taking actions to implement the development program for the New Community District, including the financing and acquisition of property and community facilities, the levying and collection of community development charges, and the facilitation of orderly development within the district, according to county officials.

Interested individuals can obtain a board appointment application through the county commissioners’ office by:

• Picking up an application at the commissioners’ office at 101 N. Sandusky St.

• Printing a application from the county’s website at http://www.co.delaware.oh.us/hr/board/board.asp and completing it and faxing it to 740-833-2099, or mailing it back to the address listed above.

Completed applications must be returned to the commissioners’ office no later than 4:30 p.m. March 14.

Due to statutory requirements, appointments must be made within 10 days.
