Madi Huck has been all business for the Delaware Hayes softball team down in Cocoa Beach.

A day after firing a no-hitter in the circle — picking up a pair of wins with strikeout totals of 16 and 18 — Huck made some serious noise from the plate. The senior struck for a pair of homers, scored three runs and drove in five in the Pacers’ 11-1, six-inning win over Glenbrook North (IL) Wednesday morning.

Kaily Schuette and Caylin Morstadt also stepped up in the win. Schuette finished with three hits, three runs and an RBI while Morstadt finished 2-for-4 with a homer, two runs and two knocked in.

Audrey Hannahs picked up the win in the circle, tossing three solid innings in which she allowed a run on five hits.

The second game of the day, a 4-0 win over Deerfield (IL), saw Huck reestablish her dominance in the circle. She allowed just five hits in seven shutout innings while striking out 17.

Through four games, Huck, with three complete games and three innings of relief under her belt, has 57 strikeouts to her name.

Amaia Daniel and Chloe Barton led the Pacers (4-0) at the plate, each finishing with a pair of hits to go with an RBI.

Sydney Wagner and Emma Spinner finished with three hits apiece and Alyssa Boyd was solid in the circle as the Braves won their opening game of the season Wednesday at the Cocoa Expo Sports Center.

Wagner drove in a game-best two RBI while Boyd and Spinner had one apiece.

Boyd picked up the win in the circle, allowing just two hits while striking out four in 3.2 innings of scoreless ball.
