Stratford looking for Earth Day volunteers

For the ninth year, Stratford Ecological Center in Delaware will be an Earth Day/Week Service Site with Green Columbus/Earth Day Columbus.

At Stratford, volunteers are hoping to plant about 1,000 trees (bare-rooted saplings) and pulling lots of garlic mustard.

On Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the center is looking to have more than 100 volunteers from around central Ohio to come to Stratford for the event.

The center is also looking for volunteers who wish to help Monday, April 18, through Friday, April 22,, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Interested volunteers may go to www.earthdaycolumbus.org/home.php. To sign up to volunteer, click on “Volunteer” and “Find a Site,” and choose “Stratford Ecological Center.”
