Kaily Schuette hit a grand slam as the Delaware Hayes softball team’s 13th game of the season ended pretty much the same way the other 12 did: with a dominant win.

The Pacers (13-0, 6-0 OCC) plated a pair of first-inning runs and never looked back, scoring in all four trips to the plate on the way to a 13-1, five-inning win over visiting Olentangy Monday in Delaware.

Hayes scored four times in the second, courtesy of Schuette’s slam to center, to make it a 6-0 spread before adding three in the third and four in the fourth to smooth out the scoring summary.

Chloe Barton started the big second by being hit by a pitch before Laxi Mattix reached on a fielder’s choice. Amaia Daniel then singled to third to load the bases for Schuette, who took care of the rest.

The Braves (4-3, 2-3 OCC) scored their lone run in the fourth.

Mackenzie Stonebraker also had a big game for the Pacers, finishing 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI, while Madi Huck had a home run and Audrey Hannahs had a pair of hits to go with two runs scored and an RBI.

Huck, meanwhile, was her typical self in the circle, allowing a run on just two hits while striking out seven and walking one in her five innings of work.

Ashley Post and Sydney Hall had hits for the Braves while Logan Sutton took the loss in the circle.

Liz Sullivan finished a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI and Skylin Martin was 4-for-4 with four RBI and four runs scored to lead the Eagles to a lopsided five-inning win Monday in Gahanna.

Madison Wallace, Emily Perrish and Madie Morgan finished with three hits apiece for DCS, which connected for 20 hits in the win.

Kara Haskins didn’t need anywhere close to all the support she got, allowing just a run on three hits while striking out 11 in the complete-game win.

Buckeye Valley 4, Marion Harding 3

The Barons won in extras Monday, scoring in the eighth to notch a thrilling MOAC win over visiting Marion Harding.

Paige Milhon, Kasey Morris and Logan Hatcher all had two hits in the win. Milhon had a single to go with a triple while Morris and Hatcher had a double and a single apiece.

Morris picked up the win in the circle, striking out nine and walking three in her eight innings of work.

Big Walnut 9, Franklin Heights 1

Kate Petty was dominant Monday, allowing just a run on two hits to lead the Golden Eagles to a 9-1 OCC-Capital Division win over visiting Franklin Heights.

Big Walnut used a three-run third to set the tone. It added four runs in the fourth and two in the fifth to seal the deal.

Hayes’ doubles wins belonged to Eric Ullom and Craig Klumpp (6-1, 6-2) and Ryan Williams and Noah Shoreman (6-2, 6-1).

Big Walnut 5, Reynoldsburg 0

The Golden Eagles were sharp in Monday’s non-league win over visiting Reynoldsburg, winning on all five courts.

Nick Schulz won 6-2, 6-2 at first singles, Stephen Pushkin won 6-2, 4-6, 1-0 at second singles and DJ Werner notched a 6-1, 6-2 win at third singles.

Lane Davis and Jared Deel teamed up to secure a 6-0, 6-0 win at first doubles while Grant Bartlett and Mitchell Cholley won 6-0, 6-1 at second doubles to smooth out the scoring summary.
