Delaware police report:

Officers responded to a reported hit-skip accident Saturday just after 1:30 a.m. and found a vehicle abandoned after it had hit a guardrail. Police contacted the registered owner, who told them the car had been taken without permission by someone she knows. The man who took the car was located with injuries from the crash. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for treatment and later incarcerated on charges of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving under a suspended license, failure to control and leaving the scene of an accident.

A man was found with what police believe was crack cocaine Sunday evening during a traffic stop in the area of Lake Street and Reid Street. Police pulled the car over for a traffic violation and the white substance was found during a search of the vehicle. No charges will be filed until the crime lab confirms the substance is crack cocaine, police say.

An 11-year-old was transported to the hospital Friday afternoon after he posted messages about committing suicide on a social media website. The juvenile was evaluated at the hospital and released to his mother.
