Delaware County’s Emergency Medical Services department will partner with the MOMS Club of Delaware this Saturday to host its popular “Touch a Truck” event.
This annual event brings a variety of emergency, law enforcement, fire and rescue vehicles up close and personal to families, according to county officials. It takes place this Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delaware County EMS Station 8, which is located at 6457 Marysville Road, Ostrander.
The event is free to attend.
Among the vehicles that will be on display are: fire trucks, a sheriff’s department cruiser, helicopters (weather permitting), Ohio Army National Guard trucks, a Bearcat armored truck, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers rescue boat, “Corey the Robotic Tug Boat,” a Delaware Area Transit Agency bus, farming equipment and a bookmobile.
A second “Touch a Truck” event will be held later this summer in partnership with the Berlin Township Fire Department. It will take place Saturday, July 30, also from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Berlin Township Fire Station, 2708 Lackey Old State Road, Delaware.
