Delaware police report:

Police were dispatched to BP Oil on East William Street after an unconscious person was found lying in the parking lot Saturday just before 1 a.m. Police and medics arrived and learned the man had passed out from intoxication. Police arrested him and held him at the Delaware County Jail until he sobered up. He was released with a summons to appear in court for disorderly conduct via intoxication.

A hammer and sickle were spray-painted on a wall at Mingo Park Friday evening. Police suspect it’s been there quite a while and have no suspects.

An officer noticed a vehicle blocking a doorway at CVS on South Sandusky Street Sunday just after 2:10 a.m. Officers report the car was running and the female driver was slumped over. Police allege the woman was operating the car under the influence of alcohol. She was transported to the Delaware City Jail but, during the booking process, she made suicidal threats and was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for evaluation. She was charged with driving under the influence and issued a summons.

A 4-year-old was inside a locked car Sunday evening in front of Kroger on Columbus Pike. Police report the girl was not in any distress when they arrived. They spoke to her father, who said he thought she followed him into the store. No charges were filed but the situation was referred to children’s services.
