Barons blank Eagles 4-0

Anthony Seliskar scored off a feed from Brennan Perrine just four minutes in and Buckeye Valley never looked back, notching a 4-0 non-league win over visiting Delaware Christian Tuesday in Delaware.

Bill Daily made it 2-0 in the 31st minute and Seliskar and Perrine added second-half tallies to account for the final margin.

Caleb King finished with four saves in the BV goal while George McRae and Curtis Bean combined for six saves for DCS.

GIRLS SOCCER

Abby Townsend and Sophie Fallieras scored goals a minute apart to give Liberty and early 2-0 lead it parlayed into a 5-1 OCC-Buckeye Division win over host Orange Tuesday in Lewis Center.

Delaney Earl converted a corner kick to bring the Pioneers within one later in the first half, but the Patriots outscored the hosts 3-0 in the second 40 minutes of action to account for the final margin.

Olivia Sensky, Townsend and Madison Rapier scored Liberty’s second-half goals to smooth out the scoring summary.

Also: Thomas Worthington 6, Hayes 0; Olentangy 5, Westerville South 2.

FIELD HOCKEY

Olentangy hung tough in the first half, trailing just 2-1 at the break, but host Liberty dominated the second half en route to a 7-1 win Tuesday in Powell.

Mara Hunter scored a game-high three goals to lead the Patriots while Mollie McCormack, Claire Buckey, Grace Buckey and Sienna Sakich also found the back of the net. Katie Flanagan anchored the defense with three saves.

Allison Martin scored the Braves’ lone goal while Erika Brehm finished with 16 saves in the Olentangy goal.

VOLLEYBALL

Olentangy improved to 3-0 in league play, handling Westerville Central 25-18, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15 Tuesday evening.

Olivia Margolies led the way with 17 kills and nine digs while Emily Margolies chipped in nine kills and 14 digs. Other Olentangy standouts included Nhu Do (nine kills) and Lexie Weithman (17 digs).

Liberty 3, Westerville North 0

The Patriots cruised to a league win Tuesday, handling the Warriors 25-16, 25-8, 25-18.

Liberty leaders included Maddie Fogg (five aces and 25 assists), Taylor Karlo (four blocks), Lindsey Merrels (six kills), Cameryn Dyer (10 digs) and Madison Brenner (10 digs).

Also: Big Walnut def. Newark 25-18, 25-18, 25-13.
