The First Presbyterian Earth Care team, along with Sustainable Delaware Ohio and Ohio Interfaith Power and Light, will present a Community Earth Care Outreach event, Leonardo DiCaprio’s film, Before The Flood at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church, 73 W. Winter St., Delaware.

The event is free.

Before the Flood is an account of the dramatic changes now occurring around the world due to climate change, the most pressing challenge of our time, a news release states.

The film follows DiCaprio as he travels to five continents and the Arctic speaking to scientists, world leaders, activists and local residents to gain a deeper understanding of this complex issue. The core issues represented in his journey are fossil fuels, methane gas, palm oil, geopolitical landscape and the U.S. political landscape.

Director of Ohio Interfaith Power and Light (OHIPL) Sara Ward will lead a discussion after the film.

All are welcome to attend the screening, including other Delaware County faith communities who have mission commitments to care for the Earth. For information, email [email protected].
