Downtown Delaware lost another business over the past few months while several others have opened.
A Little Simplicity, 53 N. Sandusky St., announced Wednesday the sudden closure on its Facebook page:
“Due to unforeseen circumstances A Little Simplicity has closed. I plan to reopen in a new location and new name very soon. I’ve loved getting to know all of you through the store and hope you join me on a even better adventure.”
Samantha Sponsler, the owner of the store, declined to comment further. The store sold a variety of locally made items from home decor to jewelry and vintage and antiques.
Main Street Delaware expressed its support for the store on its Facebook page:
“We give all our love and support to our friends at A Little Simplicity during this time. We look forward to their bright future and new beginnings ahead.”
Downtown lost a business in August when Thrifty Chic closed its doors at 43 N. Sandusky St. but was replaced with Coffeeology, an antique store.
Other new downtown businesses that have opened or will open this year include Mohio Pizza, Olivina Taproom, Honey & Abernathy Studio, Fresh Start Cafe and Bakery and the Greater Gouda.
