There have been hundreds of restaurants and ice cream parlors in operation throughout Delaware County during its 200 year history.
The Delaware County Historical Society will begin the effort to research these businesses at its first community program of this year, on Thursday, Jan. 19, 7 p.m. at The Barn at Stratford, 2690 Stratford Road, Delaware.
Owners, staff and customers are all invited to attend this free program and are requested to bring their memories and memorabilia — photos, menus, signs, uniforms, and any other items that could be displayed in the booth at the Delaware County Fair this fall.
For more information, email [email protected] or call 740-369-3831, extension 3.
The Delaware County Historical Society is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote, preserve and sustain interest in the history of Delaware County. The Barn at Stratford is operated by DCHS as an event venue for weddings, corporate meetings and other special occasions.
