WEATHER UPDATE: Morning commute may be tricky

A word of caution has been issued for overnight and early morning travel.

Rain is expected to turn into snow in the Central Ohio area as the temperatures drop below freezing overnight.

ODOT will have 107 snow plows reporting for duty by midnight in Delaware, Fayette, Franklin, Madison, Marion, Morrow, Pickaway and Union counties.

Crews will plow and salt interstates, state and US routes, ramps and bridges so roads are safe and passable for the Friday morning commute.

Drivers should take it slow, especially on ramps and bridges which freeze first.
