The Delaware Christian girls basketball team stayed hot Thursday night, picking up a 35-30 Mid-Ohio Christian Athletic League win over host Granville Christian.

Addy Beard, who had a game-high 17 points, and Ellie Tiede got the Eagles going early with a pair of hoops in the first quarter. Beard had two more buckets in the second, including a three-pointer, as DCS took an 18-13 lead into halftime.

Granville Christian answered with a strong third, outscoring the Eagles 12-8 to pull within a point heading into the final eight minutes of action. Natalia Locke and Ellie Flowers had four points apiece during the run.

Delaware Christian slammed the door from there, though, limiting the hosts to just one field goal and three free throws in the fourth quarter.

Julia Pearch connected on a three-pointer to help the Eagles get some separation down the stretch.

Tiede backed Beard with nine points while Pearch had six in the win.

Ella Rhoads had a team-best 10 points for Granville Christian.

Next up, DCS will take on host Liberty Christian Tuesday in Pataskala. Tip is set for 6:30 p.m.
