Program to discuss energy geopolitics

0

The first program of the Delaware Great Decisions series, which will take place at noon Friday, Feb. 10, on Zoom, will focus on energy geopolitics. Will Georgic, assistant professor of economics at Ohio Wesleyan University, will present the topic.

Georgic, Ph.D., received his bachelor’s degree from Denison University and earned his doctorate in Agricultural, Environmental, and Development Economics at The Ohio State University.

A press release for the program states, “Energy Geopolitics asks the question how will changes in the energy industries impact relations between countries? Access to oil and gas has long held an influence over the politics of individual nations and their relations with others. But as more countries move toward sustainable energy, and supply chain shortages affect the availability of oil and gas, how will this change the way in which the United States interacts with the outside world?”
