According to the global warming alarmists, 2014 was a record-breaking year. The Washington Post reported, “It’s official: 2014 was the hottest year in recorded history.” When most people hear “recorded history,” they think at least several thousand years. But when it comes to global climate records, they didn’t even begin till 1880 (and) then they weren’t very reliable. So the alarmists are absolutely sure, (since) 1880, that 2014 was the warmest period in the earth’s history!

How warm was 2014, you ask? Government scientists reported that we had a .02-degree C increase in temperature since 2010. The margin of error is 0.1 degree C. This means the margin of error is five times greater than the increase.

Gavin Schmidt, director of Goddard Institute for Space Studies, admitted to the Daily Mail that there was only a 38 percent chance that 2014 was actually the hottest year since 1880. The Berkeley Earth Surface Temperature Project reported, “The Earth’s average temperature for the past decade has changed very little.” John Christy, climate scientist and director of the Earth System Science Center at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, has said satellites do not show the earth is warming … satellite data since 2001 is statistically insignificant. He is best known, jointly with climatologist Roy Spencer, for the first successful development of a satellite temperature record.

So, despite carbon dioxide rising year after year, we have had only minute increases in temperature in over a decade. The alarmists’ computer models simulated “two to four times” as much warming than what actually occurred. Yet the alarmists are clinging to their minuscule numbers so they can claim that man-caused warming is continuing. Man-caused global warming is no more than a manufactured deception to control people and the world economy.
