Sunbury Mayor Tommy Hatfield got a pie in the face during last Sunday’s “Sydney’s Soldiers” fundraiser at Autumn Lakes Campground. Sydney Hatfield, the mayor’s daughter, was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma, a rare, inoperable brain cancer. Fundraising has been underway to help the family with the expenses that accrue as she battles the disease. Each pie cost $20 that went towards the day’s total. Event organizer Lesli Kintner said the turnout was great.
